Songs of Babylon@georgetakei I hope that to be the case, but then I also remember, on the eve of the 2016 election, how the candidacy of Donald Trump was supposed to be the death knell of the Republican Party. Now, I fear there is no end to how far the GOP might fall into fascism (it was, I understand now, already well on its way before 2016). But if the GOP is finally in its death throws, it's still going to take concerted effort to keep it from becoming a murder-suicide, the rest of America its victim.
