    This is something I think about a lot with EVs. Everyone from Elon Musk to GM wants us to think EVs are going to save us from climate change. And not just EVs – technology-packed EVs that can drive themselves.

    If we really cared about climate change, we'd push trains and other extant mass transit, not cars. And even if you're being pragmatic and admit Americans won't quit cars, the EVs should be cheap enough that everyone can buy one. Not $60k+ rolling supercomputers.
