日本のどこか -> Somewhere of Japan
どこかの日本 -> Japan of somewhere
となり'の'トトロ -> Totoro of Nearby
Especially, when 「の」follows person or orgnizasion, 「の」 means following words belongs to previous word.
ハウル'の'動く城 -> The Moving Castle of Haul's
