What was once colorful and bright attempts to emulate its former glory by using the same colors to saturate the new designs. Trying to relive its former days within a golden age that has come to pass. Something is amiss. A hole, not in one particular place, but one that permeates the entire being. A missing component that only the heart and soul recognize. It can be felt by looking upon works prior. Nostalgia engulfs the viewer, reminding him of once was. The colors and the shapes are similar, but the spirit is no longer there. What he witnesses now is just a husk, poorly emulating the magic of yore. The creators of the contemporary have failed to even partially adopt the glory of the old masters.
