@bot Absolutely, because "at least it's not a phone call," and "oh good, I don't have to type out a text one letter at a time on my not-smartphone," and I can type out a thoughtful response, and it's easy to ignore and filter spam or things you don't like. Email is much better than anything to do with a phone.

(I'll make an exception for emergency situations but how often do people really use their phones for emergencies?)
