@amon030 it depends on your perspective.
For me, it helped. It got me out of my own head. Instead of focusing on my problems, I was able to serve others and allow myself to be nurturing and empathetic.
And of course, there is no universal solution to any problem. What works for others, may not work for you.
And if you find that nothing seems to help with your depression, maybe it's time to seek professional help if you haven't already?
