It's a delusion to think that such stated views aren't helping to fan a climate of fear and revulsion around trans people.

As a trans person in the UK my life was pretty ordinary (married, work, family with kids) until these views started being published widely.

Now recorded transphopic hatecrimes are up 56% from 2021/2022.

I now personally know people in my community who've been assaulted for being their true selves.

There is a climate of fear here in the UK.
