@jeffcliff Ye may be confusing his history. In 1928 Georg Neumann designed the first commercial condenser microphone. Microphone was coined by Charles Wheatstone in 1827. Emile Berliner (German lineage) and Thomas Edison developed what is considered the modern microphone after seeing Bell's telephone receiver and deciding to improve its capabilities.

Different goalposts for the invention of the microphone, but it didn't involve Hitler.
