Here's a simple solution to the problem: fuck religion and don't attend church.
This will not only solve the problem of getting injected with poison, it will solve so many other problems in this world as well.

Hell, just do religion the Japanese way, which is being irreligious, but still going to a temple and/or shrine once in a while (or regularly) as a cultural activity rather than a religious one.
