@alex @gme @vincent the ability of gpt is an emergent property of the massive scale, i can and do run a markov generator on a single core to generate funny posts out of my old posts but it kind of sucks and chatgpt is really good at it. i am not competent in this at all but i don't think markov covers it because chatgpt is conversational and somehow it is taking a natural language question or order and matching it to a plausible response chain whereas a simple markov chain takes the start of a sentence and finishes the sentence. most of the data it's trained on isn't conversational so i don't understand how it was built to answer questions and i haven't been able to find a answer yet.
