@georgetakei to the minister that said that ChatGpt is simply using memorization instead of critical thinking: what do you think young humans do? True that a complex program is not a human mind, but it CAN grow with more knowledge just like a human mind, provided it has the space and complexity to do so. Young human minds generally repeat facts that are memorized as a way of giving answers and have to be taught, using some added experience and example sets, to critically think for itself. Who's to say that ChatGpt can't get to that point (if it hasn't already) with enough accumulated knowledge coupled with experiences that it's getting at a vastly accelerated rate?
