Urban Hermit@feditips you have a very nice guide here for changing instances. Unfortunately I got halfway though it and forgot to finish reading, but I eventually read about importing .CSV files and got the people I follow back. Half the confusion was caused by the fact that I have never used Mastodon through my browser before and this couldn't be done through my app. Here's hoping he is alright, and that somebody has an emergency contact number and can get more definitive information.
