He chose to get angry at people in public and DMs, including those trying to help him. The troll accounts were the first ones to post about it but more and more people became willing to at least poke at him with it because he reacted so badly.
Mack was in the best position to ask Claire to protect him more, change the rules to be more clear. Instead he went to another site (that a lot of us frequent) and told people post his dox, he doesn't care.
I'm sorry but your last paragraph is ridiculous. Mack is an adult and can protect himself. There are 8 other mods who can also protect him. I'm a 2 month old account who is here to laugh at stupid shit and socialise a little. If they dox me, they dox me - I'd rather it didn't happen but I won't be sitting in Chudbuds DMs fighting random strangers, getting the head admin so pissed off at my behavior that she has to remove me from the staff - and if you know Claire at all, this is not a decision she would make lightly or due to one incident.
I feel super bad for Mack and I told him as much. I also told him the worst thing you can do is constantly acknowledge it, get angry at people, etc. Apparently I am one of multiple people who did this, before and after dox. I don't think the site was good for him and if it wasn't his dox it would be something else. I'd laugh if Bibble doxed himself by putting his real name on his YouTube and I laugh when Mack does it, even if I liked the guy.
