He was a redneck who made some very ignorant public comments.
He was a man who listened to his friends, saw his mistakes, and apologized as publicly.
He was a devoted father, and always had time and good humor for his fans.
And he was a damned fine wrestler.
His brother Mark's birthday is tomorrow.
