I then realized if you became a jannie, I would be absolved of my past embarrassment. So I embarked on a psychological-sociological campaign to make you a jannie. Over a two month period, I populated your timeline with posts making fun of you for being a jannie. Claire and her husband have seen these posts and it normalized the idea of you being a jannie. So when Claire needed a new one, she selected you. I basically did that thing they talk about in that Christopher Nolan movie "Inception". Really I feel like Frankenstein creating his monster.
