Similarly, why do people hit the #spam button in their email when they no longer wish to receive the spam they double opted into?

That’s just fucked up, and personally, as an admin, I typically #block accounts that issue those frivolous reports - does that work? Yes, but it also creates a “boy that cried wolf” situation where the user is later consumed by actual carnivorous predators leaving only bits of bones behind to be later discovered.
