But I'm sure you remember just how hated Bush and his wars were by the end of it, and how people knew that it was all bullshit, and how Obama's popularity was partly because people legitimately believed that he was the anti-war candidate, which of course, he ended up not being, and it was quite the opposite, he destroyed multiple countries, and made the military industrial complex even larger.
And the ideologues, instead of attacking him for being a lying sack of shit and a traitor, became pro-war instead, apparently. Anyone that still supports Trump at this point has that exact same mentality. Except Trump did reduce military activity, though he is still a lying piece of shit and he did bomb Syria early on in 2021.
Still, after that, he didn't do much. Probably because they needed to set him up as a false savior, so that he could serve the purpose that he's serving now, to keep the idiots supporting the establishment through him and believing that elections are anything more than reality TV.
And this is really damn bad, because most people are idiots, so the people that control the idiots keep running the world. If all the idiots decided to tear this system down, it would be torn down in a fucking day, because they are the ones preventing that from happening through sheer numbers.
