@Shadowman311 For those who dont get why DOD now prefers contractors it all boils down to money. They got 6 years out of me and in exchange i get a fat GI bill check and disability for life as well as employment gurantees and some healthcare until i die (which is why suicide isnt a problem they want to fix). An "independent contractor" gets none of that. Most military jobs arent cool shit like COD its a lot forklifting and wrench turning and truck driving something any old mexican can do the tricky part is getting the military to be OK with untrained labor doing all this. Best way is to cut total troop numbers while incentiving contracted work. Theres also corporate shielding for the government because they can blame whatever shell company is contracting and never be held accountable so higher ups love that shit.
