With me is more about forgetting books/notebooks at home, or forgetting to do some homework. I had some disgraceful teachers when I was like 10 that would make you sign your name on a notebook every time you did it, and in the 3rd time they would call your parents to school. Some would even on the first time write about it on your diary? (couldn't find a good translation from "agenda" which is a notebook where you write stuff like exam dates and homework) and have you show your parents for them to sign it. In further years the teachers got tired of that and you would get kicked from the classroom and would have to spend your time in the advisor's room where they would do the same things. That surely traumatized me.
