Problem with sodium is that everything prepackaged is full of it. You need some but you don’t need the amount that’s in even the most sensible prepackaged foods.
Just take a look at instant mashed potatoes. Compare the massive quantity of salt in instant mashed potatoes to the zero amount in homemade mashed potatoes.
Basically “poor foods” are full of sodium and will give you major problems over time.
