初級者に多い「親切な」の間違った使い方。

The adjective ”kind" is not only しんせつな in Japanese. There is also 優しい which means "gentle" and "warm". rather innate quality for intimate relationship (like family members and close friends).
しんせつな is mostly used to refer to an "attitude" towards people around that person, for example, when someone helps you to find your lost wallet.
So, it is not usually for your Mum, because she has a warm and gentle "personality" since you were born. You may use やさしい if you know that person better. #日本語教師 #日本語 #Japanese #JapaneseLearning
