It's one of the best preserved <a href="https://social.anoxinon.de/tags/Roman" rel="tag">#Roman</a> cities.<br>The city was founded in the 7th century BC by the Phoenicians. In Roman times it became one of the most important cities of North Africa and a major trading post.
