both her and me are still primarily motivated by the desire to be strong, though. the desire to be strong seems to have come into her out of the blue, from my point of view—she was never the kind to like sports or martial arts or anything. but I'm happy I get to share with her all the little things I learned about powerlifting.
she's falling into her groove by now so I have more time to work on my own muscles, rather than coaching. today I lifted some actual iron—did 60kg backsquat ATG (5 reps) which for the body I have right now was a real challenge, got jelly legs afterwards. and 80kg deadlifts (5 reps no drop) was also as far as I dared. hopefully I'll reach my old PRs in no time, but I'm taking it easy this time around to avoid burning out again. it's fairly different being a mother-daughter activity tho
