feeling like absolute doom today, and I think it may have helped making me choose some pretty dark background colors.

I understand now what I'm painting. a storm is brewing in the background, while in the foreground, it's still sunny.

that's perfect! it's like a metaphor for contemporary society, where all still seems somewhat normal (well at least here in the netherlands), but we all know what's coming. :ablobcatknitsweats:
