Soon there will be an attack on the English language from universities. They will argue that the word "THE" must no longer be used because it presupposes a value system wherein the object of the word is, in fact, one of a kind, THE object, not AN object. This is a speaker waging violence against a listener by declaring that something is separate from others. Who are we to declare something as "THE" when "A" or "AN" will do? They will destroy the concept of "THE" and leave us confused and alone.
