Mike Fraser@evan Got kind of depressed when I typed "TheCanadian" into google recently and gander.social appeared. I had to type "TheCanadian Mastodon" to even get a hit. What that tells me is that I need to do a better job marketing my instance as do we all. I think a lot of this approach running and instance as a hobby when we really need to seriously think of it as a mission to bring people into a better way of doing social media.
