- Embed this noticeA few years ago, I bought an unmarked apple tree at a nursery. It looked like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. On clearance and the owner was going to throw it out if it didn't sell. I took it home and planted it in my small orchard.
It's interesting that it blossoms and bears fruit way ahead of the other trees (weeks ahead). Never attacked by bugs, or even getting scabs or diseases. Today, it dropped it's first apple. The taste is a perfect combination of sweet and tart, perfect for Dutch apple pies.
Maybe the tree is happy it went to a good home lol. It is full of apples right now.
