    @oldrup After HP and Samsung, I switched to a Brother HL-L8230CDW last year, and am very happy with it. It just works, from Linux/MacOS/Windows and Android (I think the kids' iOS devices also work).

    Haven't replaced toner yet, so no info on that.

    It runs fine on wifi (I have it stowed away in a closet so wife doesn't have to look at it).
