Pax Silica is against the interests of the Philippines-that-COULD-BE, but is entirely for the interests for the real Philippines-THAT-IS. The conflation of these two interests obscures the interests of the CLASS.

Class interest is projected onto a fictionalized national interest which is then projected into the real national interest. In doing so, obscures and disappears the ultimate interest of the class: the abolition of all classes.

All this discussion on what kind of economic development we need is frankly irrelevant when framed in such terms that calls itself communist. Of course national industrialization would mean general exploitation and dispossession of bodies and land. Have these gentlemen seen national industrialization? What you want is national Proudhonism at best or national Lassalleanism at worst. Either go all in on reviving neo-Proudhonism (full respect to Proudhon and none to Lassalle btw) or actually put forward communist analysis.
