Queer Poetry in Winter Signup! (December Unnamed)
A signup sheet to receive one snail mailed typewritten original poem from @Genderqueerwolf in December, 2026 You can find more at Support GenderQueerWolf ❤️ FAQ: Am I queer enough? Do you self-identify on the queer spectrum? Anywhere in the LGBTQIAA+ community. I'm not the cops. All cops are bad. You're queer enough. How long have you been doing this? The first year I started typing poems for strangers in winter was 2016, so 2026 is the 11th year. In that time, I have typewritten over 1100 poems. What do you do with the addresses? I use them to mail you one (1) original card and poem in early December. Once most poems are confirmed received, I delete the personal information. What does it cost? You? Nothing. Though I welcome donations toward postage, I do this to bring some joy to you and to me in the darker months of the year. I stock up on stamps. :) Are they original poems? Yes! I hand type (on a 1938 Rem Rand Cadet typewriter) new, original poems for each recipient. They're written specifically for that person. If it feels personal, it is. What else do you do with the poems, or where can I read/see what other poetry you've done? Every year I transcribe the poems into a collection before sending them out. I also read them for short form video (currently, you can watch most of these on tiktok, but the change of ownership has slowed that down). I'm worried I will take a spot someone else should have. Don't worry about taking up space. If you're queer, you need this tidbit of joy in your life.
