What really gets me about the scene where the fairy tale characters end up in Shrek's swamp is, instead of staying out of his house respectfully, they fucking post up in his bed and on his dinner table like he's not even there.
You might chalk that up to just nobody liking him as an ogre, but there's no indication from them that they don't like him. It just seems like it doesn't occur to them they're on private property. They didn't knock and ask to be let in because it's the only shelter in the swamp, they just barged in.
