@georgia I think it would be more accurate to say that we need intimacy in order to feel human and most people just don't really have a concept of nonsexual intimacy so they only know how to get it through sex, which manifests as sex addiction

That's my personally experience anyway as someone who will quickly go insane without intimacy but is totally fine without sex
