Imagine admins of :pixelfed: servers able to get paid via photo backup subscriptions!

This is how we ethically monetize Pixelfed, getting admins paid, and later users 💪

Wouldn't it be cool if you could backup your camera roll to your self hosted Pixelfed server, privately, keeping the original file intact? They wouldn't be publicly accessible, unless you want to create a share link, and would be organized with album and tag support, with client side AI recognition to enable powerful search? We think so. :pixelfed: Drive We're planning this feature now, and would love your feedback! No ETA. We're focused on the new app rn ✨ #pixelfed #drive #pixelfedDrive
