A player reported Jaws not registering a drained ball. As it was first investigated, nothing out of ordinary was found and the game progressed after exiting the diagnostics. The problem repeated soon and this time I could see the issue: the ball through board has handy LEDs to show its status so I know the local controller is alive and well. But the game diagnostics shows now a single ball in the through. Curious.

Gently pushing the SPI bus connector made the game see all the balls again. I have a strong suspicion of cold solder in the pins. I'll take it apart when there's not that many people in the arcade.
