On Saturday, May 9th at the early hour of 4:15 a.m., thousands of people across Ireland rose from their beds and joined together for their local Darkness into Light walk. With your help, we have already raised an incredible total of more than €2.5 million and we’re still counting. This support is life-saving. Without it, we simply could not run suicide prevention services at over 20 locations around the country. Thanks to you, we can ensure that anyone who turns to Pieta in crisis, is met with the professional care and support that they need.“Bringing our community together saves lives, reminding everyone that no one person has to face struggles alone” - Pauline, Darkness into Light Kildare Participant   Because of you, and so many others, we saw hope come to life in the most powerful way. As you read through your monthly e-newsletter, I hope it truly shows you the life-saving impact of your kindness. Never doubt that these stories of hope only happen because of you.  In your June e-newsletter, you will read about Pieta’s Suicide Bereavement Liaison Officers. They work with families across Ireland, helping them navigate those initial first months following a loss by suicide. We have also shared the results to our client feedback surveys in 2025. I hope they show you how hard our therapists work on your behalf to change the lives of those who need us.   These vital services to families and individuals across Ireland only exist because good people like you chose to fund them.
