My only question is how to keep the other states from coming in and saving you from lawlessness with brutal military interventions? It's entirely true that without a state, interpersonal harms could be greatly reduced. But the one function a state does serve is keeping away other states. Which defeats the purpose, since as peasants will observe it doesn't matter who's the king. But is there a way to keep away other states, without throwing the baby out with the bathwater?
