Xerox PARC demonstrated that "recently" (possibly 20 years ago, certainly decades after their famous 1970s work).

I've been thinking about it again *very* recently (every day for a week now).

But nobody (including me) seems to be on the verge of getting it done right away.

It's a security nightmare, but it's doable.
