People outside of America truly don’t understand how much everything costs and how baddddd our healthcare is. It’s so bad. I’m so sick of “conservatives” trying to gas light everyone into thinking paying $23000 for wisdom teeth removal or paying $400 a month so your surgery costs $1000 instead of $100,000 is normal. It’s not even more effective since health outcomes are universally worse nor more efficient since the gov pays more per person then any other nation and doesn’t even offer universal coverage.

“But muh wait times!!” You have to wait for insurance pre authorization you fucking tards and insurance companies are pushing for more and like stuff to be pre authorized which causes months of delays. Often delays so long that it’s medically dangerous and doctors will push through with the surgery early so insurance companies deny leaving people with bills 10x higher then initially quoted. We have medical credit cards being pushed on people. It is more expensive to the government to be this greedy and callous, and as someone who works in healthcare hospitals are bleeding right now since less people are going and when they do go they can’t pay since they can no longer afford insurance or have extremely crappy high deductible plans.
