I'm a little obsessed with the guitar community on YouTube. It's full of men, with hot takes, demoing equipment and talking about "gigging" (they don't gig, they just sit in front of their webcams)

But the reason I'm obsessed is that everyday they come out with some new must-have, or don't-buy. It's endless. Growing up, when you got a musical instrument, that was it. You now had one. So you played it.

Now it's a symptom of capitalism, relentless acquisition
