>Hires a contractor
>Contractor tears everything out and gets 10% of the way into the job when he runs off with the money
>He also didn't pull the permits required by the city so now the city's even more mad
>I takeover MGMT
>Fight the city for 6 months to get a permit
>I get my permit accepted
>Go to the city to pay for it (because they can't do it online)
>Guy in charge of permitting is a jackass with a personal vendetta against my buddy
>Asks me for 15 documents that I don't legally need
>I say sure thing and go back out to my truck
>He doesn't know I have a printer in my truck so I print them off and return within 15 minutes
>Now he's fuming and yelling
>I still haven't done anything to this guy, never even met him before today
>He yells at me that I need to get a signed notarized document from the owner of the registered agent company on the LLC docs saying I have permission to give permission to my subcontractors to begin work
>tl;dr registered agents aren't a part of the company they basically just scan mail in for your legal notices
>I tell him that's not how that works and I need to speak to someone else
>He screams more that if I don't have that I won't get the permit and slams the door
>I ask the pencil pusher lady to talk to someone else and she refuses, says she won't get involved
>Meanwhile the police saw the whole thing because they're doing security at the city bldg
>The police contact the mayor's office
>Speak with some ladies at the mayors office for a while, write up a report on the guy
>They put me in touch with that guy's manager who gets me the permit
>Setup a meeting with the mayor to discuss this guy's behavior
