@skinnylatte It has taken me far too long to realize how close all the things are in Northern Europe. As a Dutchman I had all those places within reach by car; London, Paris, Brussels, Berlin; and I never realized it until I moved out of little Holland and into Italy where a 5 hour trip by car doesn't feel like going halfway around the world.
Someone should do a good writeup on the psychology of small places.
