As an ageing syndicalist, I think we need to look towards Solidarność. The radical union that represented 30% of the Polish population in 1980. The synthesis of what workers want and what is going to liberate them.
Pedro Sánchez has laid the foundation for a new Europe now, an alliance between the radical Left and the moderate Left. It's the vision of James Connolly, of Rosa Luxemburg and so many other Europeans of the 20th century.
It is my belief that this is where we ought to begin, it is my belief that is this the only thing that can save us from total war and exploitation forever: to talk to the moderates and find a common language without abandoning our values of freedom for the working class and a better world for our children. Dream big but remain grounded.
