Sunday puzzles are the hardest. It was hard for me, and I failed a couple times but eventually figured it out. So this guy just wasn't experienced enough to even figure out the first move, probably.

Mostly it comes down to pattern recognition. But creativity must be involved for the harder puzzles. So it isn't really that much of a waste of brain space, imo since you learn the patters over time without having to study them.
