how do people access their files? is that a really retarded question?
What I mean specifically is the very typical workflow of going to a directory and just opening a movie. I guess I struggle with understanding how "cd /path/to/dir" is faster than just using the gui. I get it for vim etc. but this just seems slow. Maybe ranger is the solution, but if your default is the terminal, it seems like it would always be slower to just open a damn file...
