I've never listened to the Masaru Imada Trio. It's definitely in the same vibe as that Ramsey Lewis music from that era. Definitely takes me back to my early teens in the mid-70s. I was alternating between the small combo jazz music that randomly arrived at the house via the record club, and the hard rock that I was buying at the record store with my own money. On a lazy Summer day, when it was 100+ F° outside, I'd often lay on the floor in front of the old console stereo and just chill.
