in Brazil a known fact/joke among Apple users is that you should never but anything directly from Apple, they apply a hedge for exchange rate fluctuations and the prices are incredibly absurd
the cheapest Macbook Air costs 2600 USD at apple.com/br, but you can find it at large department stores for 1800 USD, or if you’re adventurous and want to buy from some random person returning from the US, around 1600 USD - all still ridiculously high prices
