@Twoinchdestroya @Mammal @Terry I haven't read Paul Krugman's articles or blog since the first trump administration...I'm not a fan of him 99% of the time but in the interest of fairness I will list some things he has done (unrelated to his nobel prize) that I think are interesting:

1) Agreed with Trump against the mainstream view that the tariffs could work but that he should have tariffed final goods and services instead of steel...Krugman cant help but express trade theory stuff honestly...I turned away from most new keynesian economists because they had all taught me optimal tariff theory and then attacked trump for trying...he considers himself an old neo keynesian...

2) openly admitted that welfare, pension, medicaid and special interest spending hurts the economy (no multiplier)...but he just doesnt care because the party and winning elections is more important...

3) wrote the Self Organizing Economy...interesting read at an intuitive level...complexity theory giving rise to predictable patterns instead of rationality...

4) admits his nobel prize winning work is only interesting for studying the past and not very relevant otherwise...
