@evan Missed this poll and I'm somewhere between Yes, but... and No, but ... because it kinda depends on how you define, AND how you deploy, "algorithms".

The mythical "global town square" does not exist, as humans have a finite capacity for direct relationships with other humans.

Topical, temporal or spatial communities shortcut this *somewhat* and we can expand our web and feel connected.

but it still cannot go meaningfully into thousands of connections per day and have our brains cope.
