The #Netherlands has been seeing a growing stream of Americans, mostly #trans people, applying for #asylum. 18 in 2023 there were 18, 9 in 2024, and 76 in 2025. The Dutch have denied 60 claims, and all others are expected to be denied. 46 Americans have been deported.
We continue to plead with #trans Americans - do not seek asylum anywhere. You will be denied, you will have trouble traveling afterwards, and you will make it more difficult for those who later have stronger claims.
Don't do it.
