@BTyson You've met me in person and we've talked about this extensively, I mental map like crazy. I can picture my entire house in my head right now, not at once but I can picture the hallway with the laundry basket in it, I can picture the railing on the stairs, etc. I've never found a good way to describe to someone how this works, because it's not like feeling with my hands. I mean, when I picture things, I picture them by their textures/shapes that I've felt, but I don't see just the top of the railing that I touch when going down the stairs when I visualize it, I see the posts, the screws holding them into place, the little markings on the wood from years of use, etc. I lost my vision as a young kid though, and I think that majorly helps with spacial awareness. I've been told by many born blind individuals, even ones with better than average spacial awareness, that my perception of the environment around me is a bit scary because of how easily I can just tell where things are. But, that's all subconchis. I never do it conchisly.
